  According to the 1850, 1860 & 1870 Census, Charles was born in 1849 Even though Charles appears to be in a different family than his parents, what it is actually is that his brother and wife were living with his parents. The census taker put Lewis as a different family within the household and therefore it appears that his siblings are their children when they are not.
