  • Notes 
    • Some think that Elizabeth's last name is something different than Newland. However, when she was married to Toliver she was 18 years old. It does make it possible that Newland is a married name but not likely due to her age at marriage.
      Her parents were married in Bath county, Kentucky. I know families did move around back then but clarke and bath counties of where they were born seems to not make sense to me.

      In the 1880 Census Elizabeth is listed as being born in 1827.
