Age 56 years, 9 months, 2 days at time of death. Daniel was born to Peter & Margaret Minga Rinehart in Virginia.
After the family moved to Preble, Ohio, four sons of Peter and Margaret married four Adney daughters of Daniel & Anna Coger Adney, also from Virginia. Daniel Rinehart married Elizabeth Adney, Jacob Rinehart married Mary Adney, Peter Rinehart married Sarah Adney, and David Rinehart married Rebecca Adney. The brothers Daniel, Jacob, and Peter then moved to Henry Co., IN with their wives.

Daniel married Elizabeth "Eliza" Adney on 19 Apr 1832 in Preble County, Ohio, United States. Elizabeth was born on 6 Apr 1807 in Virginia, United States; died on 13 Sep 1886 in Henry County, Indiana, United States; was buried in New Castle, Henry, Indiana, United States. Born in Virginia to Daniel and Anna Coger Adney, Elizabeth moved with her family to Preble Co., Ohio, where she and three of her sisters married Rinehart brothers, also from Virginia. Elizabeth married Daniel Rinehart, Mary Adney married Jacob Rinehart, Sarah Adney married Peter Rinehart, and Rebecca Adney married David Rinehart. Elizabeth, Mary, and Sarah moved with their husbands to Henry Co., IN. In 1880, as a widow, Elizabeth was living with her son Daniel D. Rinehart and his wife Mary Jane Wimmer and their children John, Daniel L., and Sarah. By 1880, Daniel & Mary Jane and their children had moved to Huntington Co., IN and Elizabeth stayed in Liberty, Henry Co., IN by herself.
