In the 1880 Census, Robert and Harriet have her father Abijah Boggess living with them along with a person by the name of Ralph Boggess. Ralph is listed as being a servant. However, I believe that he may be a brother or some type of relation to Harriet. Further research is required to figure that out. According to the obituary of Harriet, she was the mother of 14 children. There were two children listed as being a Thomas in the 1870 Census. One was born in 1869 and one in 1868. Is the 2nd Thomas actually someone else? According to Harriet's daughters death certificate she was born in Meigs County, Tennessee. Although there are people that say that Aaron was born in Virginia, both Census records show Kentucky for his birthplace. Now that being said, I know part of Kentucky was formed from Virginia so it is possible but as it shows Kentucky for his birth place that is where I am leaving it as a birth place. Both marriages of Aaron show him being married in Kentucky both times. There are a lot of people that put his last name as Saunders. Both marriage records and both census records show his last name to be Sanders. Even J Lewis that posted his information and his gravestone on find a grave lists it as Saunders. It clearly shows Sanders on the tombstone. All documentation shows Sanders. | Sanders, Aaron (I8965)

|
12573 | The 1850 Census has Edmond being born in 1822. Although normally I go off of the death certificate because it is the most accurate, the tombstone clearly states Edmund's date of birth. In the 1880 Census, Lewis is listed as having Rheumatism. This usually indicates a Rheumatic Fever and can include heart troubles. It apparently did not kill him at this time as he lived for another 18 years. Rheumatic fever is a condition that can inflame or make the heart, joints, brain, and skin swell.
