In future census records, it does show where these individual members of the family were born . All census records indicate that John was born in Indiana but there is a Pennsylvania, U.S., Arriving Passengers and Crew Lists, 1800 - 1962 that lists a John Huston that was born in 1818. This could most likely be him. Which means the Hueston line could descend from Ireland Gallatin County, Kentucky History: Source: Wikapedia Gallatin County is a county located in the northern part of Kentucky. The county seat is Warsaw. The county was founded in 1798 and names for Albert Gallatin, the Secretary of the Treasury under President Thomas Jefferson. The county was formed on December 14, 1798. Gallatin was the 31st Kentucky cournty to be established. It was derived from parts of Franklin and Shelby County, Kentucky. Later, parts of Gallatin county were pared off to create three additional counties: Owen in 1819, Trimble in 1836 and Carroll in 1838. Today, Gallatin is 1/10 of its original size. Its northern border is the Ohio River. Adjacent counties to Gallatin are Switzerland County, Indiana on the north, Boone County on the northeast, Grant County on the southeast, Owen County on the south, and Carroll County on the West. My thought is that Switzerland, Boone and Grant are all Indiana Counties where Owen and Carroll are Kentucky counties. Most of the children ended up in Grant County. And John died in Boone Township in Madison County, Indiana. John's wife died in 1888 in Grant County. One of the children were in Madison County and that could be why John ended up passing away in Madison due to the fact that his wife Elizabeth died 9 years previously. | Hueston, John J. (I12631)
