Although Richard's death certificate and tombstone state that he was born on June 12, 1856 I choose to have the record from his birth rather than his death.
Carpenter, Richard J. (I14147)

602
Although Roy's daughter reports that he was born in New York upon his death, all other records except one state Pennsylvania.
Snyder, Roy Clarence (I10432)

603
Although Samuel's death certificate says his mother is Mollie Thornsbu rg, I find this highly unlikely due to the fact that his wife's name i s Mollie Thornsburg
Finch, Samuel D. (I20049)

604
Although Sarah is listed with the last name of Kirkwood in 1860, she is not a Kirkwood, she is a Burgess. As all other records indicate.
Burgess, Sarah Elizabeth (I19238)

605
Although Sarah's sons Robert death certificate list her middle name as Ann, her marriage record states Jane as her middle name. Not to mention all other records that have a middle initial states J.
Martin, Sarah Jane "Sally" (I710)

606
Although several people have stated that Alice's last name isTheir, th ere is no indication of this in the documentation with her children an d husband
Alice (I7718)

607
Although she is listed as sister to the head of household in the 1930 census, she is actually their daughter.
Stephens, Bertha Maxine (I22631)

608
Although the family states that the actual name was Boehm and that wh en they were in Germany that the last name was Bohemian, all census re cords has George's last name as Bame, not to mention that the tombston es of this family have the last name of Bame, so I would imagine tha t the death certificates state the same. If anyone can disprove thi s please contact us.
Bame, George A. (I4438)

Although the 1850 Census has the last name as Morning, this is the correct family in the 1850 Census. All the first names and birth dates match. Of course, the birth dates are not exact but close enough to determine this is the right family. There is no record in 1850 of this family under the name Moran or Moren. With this last name Moran and Moren is spelled like that throughout both ways.
Although the 1900 Census has John's last name as Moran, all other records show Moren. As I don't have a death certificate for him I am going with what I have recorded from the Census records, 1850 - 1880

The 1880 Census has John being born in 1822
Moren, John (I17037)

610
Although the 1850 Census states that Sanford was born in Bath County , Kentucky, Bath County was not formed until 1811 and Sanford was bor n @1805
Anderson, Sanford (I11471)

611
Although the 1850 Census states that Susan was born in Bath County,Bat h County was not formed until 1811 and Susan was born @1808.
Conyers, Susannah (I11473)

612
Although the 1860 Census has this child listed as Martin M, other documents show a different middle name.
Gentry, Martin (I22150)

613
Although the 1860 Census states that Margaret was born in Indiana, all other documentation states Ohio.
Rhinehart, Margaret (I20967)

614
Although the 1870 Census has Rebecca being born in 1845 (being listed as 25 years old), all other records indicate otherwise.
Tharpe, Rebecca Ann (I1222)

615
Although the 1870 Census has Thomas's last name as Brown, his actual last name is Kaough.
Census records have his birth as 1845 and 1846. Although find a grave is not a place of definite proof, the information on there is plausible.
Kaough, Thomas (I834)

616
Although the 1870 Census records David and Elizabeth as having two boys, Henry and Reuben, I believe these two children are Mary and Barbara and they were recorded incorrectly. Henry and Reuben don't show up any where else in the census. The ages are about right for Mary and Barbara. Also, in the 1900 and 1910 Census, Elizabeth is listed as being the mother of 6 children with 5 living. If anyone can disprove this, I welcome the proof.
Kauffman, David (I22308)

617
Although the 1870 Census states that Elizabeth was born in Pennsylvania, all other records show Indiana.

1837
Gasho, Elizabeth (I22305)

618
Although the 1870 Census states that Mary was born in Ohio, I find this highly unlikely due to the fact that the family was already in Indiana in 1860.
LeMay, Mary A (I22533)

619
Although the 1880 and 1900 Census state Indiana for a birth place all other records state otherwise.
Bloom, Maria (I22795)

620
Although the 1880 Census has Levi being born in 1838 all other documentation indicate around 1847 - 1848.
There is a granddaughter Myrtle Arnold (born 1897) living in the household of Levi and Amanda in 1910. At this time it is unknown whose child she is.
Arnold, Levi (I22977)

621
Although the 1880 census has this child as a male however, this child is actually female
Parrish, Laura M (I22866)

622
Although the 1880 Census lists a child Minnie being born in 1865 and a daughter, nowhere else is there a Minnie listed with William's parents. I do believe this was in error by the census taker and actually should be William.
Norris, William A. (I23467)

623
Although the 1880 Census states that Bertha was born in 1875, the tombstone clearly shows 1872. However, I believe it would actually be the 1875 due to the fact that her parents were not married until 1873.
Dickinson, Bertha (I23566)

624
Although the 1880 Census states that Lizzie was born in Virginia, he r death certificate states Kentucky. Previous census records on her f ather states that he was born in Kentucky and her brother Evan was bor n in Kentucky, but in the 1880 it states he was born in Kentucky. Prob ably the census recorder thought since they were living in Virginia th ey were all born in Virginia.
Griffith, Elizabeth D (I19562)

625
Although the 1900 census has Lou Ellen being born in Kentucky every ot her Census record has her being born in Virginia.
Fitzpatrick, Lou Ellen (I6295)

626
Although the 1900 Census states that William was born March of 1829, the death certificate states differently and all other census records state the year of 1825.
Howe Cemetery is also known as Puckett Cemetery.
Pearson, William H. (I23424)

627
Although the 1900 Census states the last name of Garrison, it is obvious with the rest of the research done that the last name is Larrison. Also, the 1900 Census has his birth date at November 1865, however his death date states October 1865.

The following obituary was copied from Find A Grave.

Although the 1920 and 1930 Census states Ethel's name as Ethel G, bot h the 1900 and 1910 states that it is Grace Ethel. She is living wit h her father at this time so I am going with Grace Ethel.
Bame, Grace Ethel (I13496)

629
Although the 1920 Census has Vernon listed as William's son instead o f stepson, in 1910 he is listed as his step son. It is nearly impossi ble for him to be William's son since William was still married to Mar y " Mollie" C Campbell at the time. Further research is required to a scertain who Vernon's father is. It is possible however, that Willia m adopted Vernon.
Cannon, Vernon (I10640)

630
Although the 1920 Census states Ohio as where Elisha was born, all other documentation states Indiana.
On Elisha Adam's death certificate March is originally what was put as the month of death but, it was crossed out and April was put there. It is possible that he actually passed in March, however, I think it is more likely that he passed in April.
Adams, Elisha P. (I6237)

631
Although the 1920 Census states that Charles was born in Kansas, all other records indicate Indiana.
Ridenour, Charles Edward (I21230)

632
Although the census in 1900 has Mary being born in Indiana, the 1880 Census says Ohio, and the 1900 Census states mom was born in Ohio. The children are hers. The 1900 Census also states that she is the mother of 6 children, with only 5 living. With the listing of children, It can be assumed that this child was born either between 1880 and 1889 or between 1893 and 1899.

Although the Census records state that Bassett was born in 1879, I bel ieve that he was born in 1876 because his draft registration card ha s his full birth and his death record from Ohio states that he was bor n in 1 876. I will be ordering his death certificate to see if I ca n verify the birth date.
Gates, Bassett Wilson (I16018)

636
Although the Census taker stated Minnie was Jacob's Aunt, she is actually his duaghter. She was not born until 1892 which makes it where it is impossible for her to be Jacob's Aunt.
Cablish, Minnie (I23621)

637
Although the death certificate of Peter and Find a Grave state that Peter was born in Ohio, I do not find any other document stating this. All census records state Indiana. Although the Census records are not always completely accurate, I have never seen where all of them are incorrect. Even the 1850 & 1860 Census state Indiana.
Rhinehart, Peter (I23194)

638
Although the death certificate says that Estill was born in 1931, du e to the age at death and the birth index, I have kept it at 1911.Plu s he was in the 1920 census with his parents. Also, according to th e death certificate he was single when he died, therefore, it is assum ed that he never married.
Cook, Estill (I9829)

639
Although the death certificate says that she was buried in 1912, tha t is impossible because she did not die until 1913.
Cockran, Sophia M (I15299)

640
Although the death certificate states Henry was born in Whitley County, Indiana this is incorrect considering all other records indicate Ohio.
The 1900 Census states that Henry was born in February of 1837 whereas his death certificate states September 1, 1837. On his tombstone it has him being 70 years, 7 months and 8 days. Usually I go with the death certificate, however with both the 1900 census and find a grave both saying February I am going with that birth date instead of what is on the death certificate.
Norris, Henry (I20550)

641
Although the death certificate states Margaret was born in Indiana, all children were born in Ohio, as the family did not move to Indiana until 1850. Although Margaret's death certificate states that she was 69 when she died, she was actually 79. The year is obviously 1838. Also to note is that the gravestone states 1838.
Books, Margaret Rebecca (I23641)

642
Although the death certificate states that Arthur was born in Indiana, his marriage application and census records indicate Michigan so I am leaving it at Michigan. Also to note, the death certificate states that he was divorced at the time of his death. May be the reason that Flora's death is recorded with her 1st husband's last name.
Wiebke, Arthur W. (I22557)

643
Although the death certificate states that Elisha was born in Pennsylvania, every other record states Ohio.
Chandler, Elisha (I12304)

644
Although the death certificate states that she was born in 1895, with the age listed the 5 was in error.
Stephens, Vera (I22769)

645
Although the death certificate states the year of 1857 of Ida's birth, she was not in the 1860 census with her parents, and all other records, including the findagrave memorial for her states 1867. Also when you do a date calculator on January 11, 1867 it comes to the year of 1867 for a birthdate when you calculated the begin and end date it comes to 84 years, 8 months, and 19 days.
Mason, Ida L. "Annie J." (I24085)

646
Although the Find a Grave has her birth year as 1843, her death certificate has 1844. I am more inclined to believe the death certificate then I am a tombstone. Yes, tombstones are a gold mind however, if theres a choice between the death certificate and tombstone, I will go with the tombstone.
Eberhart, Mary Ann (I23443)

Although the following obituary is posted on find a grave, it does not have where it came from:

Mrs. Rinda Stephens, 93, whose home here was at 348 W. Locust St., died at 9 a.m. Sunday at the Shelbyville Rest Home. She had been ill for the past six months. Born in Sullivan County May 19, 1872, she was a daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Swinford. She was married May 22, 1890 to Frank B. Stephens and he preceded in death in 1955. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Ruluff Tucker, Bengal; Mrs. Carl Riser, Shelbyville; Mrs. Amos McClure, R.R. 4, Rushville; Mrs. Elmer Cord, R.R. 3, and Mrs. Paul Moore, R.R. 5; 20 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren. A son, daughter, three brothers and three sisters all preceded in death. Mrs. Stephens spent nearly all of her life in Shelby County. She was a member of the Bengal Christian Church. Funeral services will be held at the Ewing Mortuary at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. James horner officiating. Burial will be in the Patterson Cemetery, and friends may call at the mortuary anytime.
Swinford, Marinda Alice (I22763)

648
Although the marriage application for Ida and Stephen states her year of birth as 1868, all other records show 1866, so that is the date I am going with - 1866.
LeMay, Ida B. (I20710)

649
Although the marriage record of Henry and Sarah states that Henry's last name is Weed, it is Wead
Wead, Henry (I23649)

650
Although the obituary for William that was posted online with no sourcing states that Eliza's first name is Elizabeth, all other records state Eliza Jane. There is only one death certificate that states Elizabeth. I would imagine that her husband knew her name. Her death certificate states Eliza and not Elizabeth.
Orr, Eliza Jane (I2195)
