He is listed as being born on May 10, 1845 in his death certificate. Name Variation: Lewis's name is spelled Lewis in the 1850, 1880, 1900, 1910 & 1920 Census, in marriage record with Nancy, Louis in the 1860, 1870 Census. In the 1850 Census Lewis is listed as Lewis P R Day. In all other records its just Lewis P or Louis P. Due to his name being spelled Lewis on his death certificate, I am leaving his name as Lewis and not Louis even though the tombstone has it as Louis. Upon further research, Lewis's obituary was found, and his name is listed as Lewis Pearce.
