• Notes

  With the Census records with Margaret all either say 1812 or 1813 for her birth. All but the 1900 Census state Virginia. The 1900 Census states she was born in Tennessee. I choose to put Virginia as that is the most of what is stated. Most likely in 1900 someone else stated where she was born. In 1900 she is living with her son George, or at least that is what the census states. She does not have a child that was born that late as far as we can research. Margaret also had 12 children according to the census records from 1850 - 1880. However, the 1900 Census states she had only 11 children. The 1900 Census also states only 8 living. So if it is 12 children, there was only 9 living at the time. According to find a grave Margaret was born in December 1812 in Lee County, Virginia. There is no documentation for this birth place but it is plausible that it is accurate. Also her death date is stated as 1905, which again there is no documentation but plausible since she was still living in 1900
