  Hiram N Ellis's Obituary Logansport Press Wednesday, 18 Aug 1948 Delphi, Aug. 17? Hiram N. Ellis, 89, life-long resident of Jefferson township. Carroll county, died this morning at 2 a.m. at St. Elizabeth hospital. Lafayette, where he had been a patient for 28 days. Born March 10, 1859 in Jefferson township, he was the son of Mortick and Sarah Ann (Brockus) Ellis. He was a member Hickory Grove Christian church. Survivors include three sons Ralph and Claude, Delphi rural route and Albert, of Yeoman; a daughter. Mrs. Anna Rotruck, of Anderson. Friends may call at the residence. Funeral rite will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at the Hickory Grove church with burial in the church cemetery.
