    • The 1860, 1910 & 1920 Census has Maria being born in 1850. The 1870 Census has Maria born in 1851.
      In Maria's second marriage and in the 1870 Census she is listed as Mariah. Maria is listed as Marie J in the 1880 Census. On her death certificate, Maria is listed as Maria J. A lot of people have her name as Mariah. I have chosen to go with Maria as that is what is on her death certificate and her tombstone.
