Bluffton, Indiana - Bluffton Banner Thursday, October 11, 1888 - P3 C5 On last Monday night while Joseph Cloud and two other men were returning from a republican meeting, held at Wiley's school house in Jackson township, while racing down the road Cloud's horse ran into a vehicle throwing his rider over his head. Cloud fell on his head, breaking his neck, and killing him almost instantly. He was a married man and leaves a wife . He was buried at the Batson cemetery yesterday. The funeral was a large one.
