  • Notes 
    • The marriage record of Daniel and Harriett is recorded as happening in Clinton County, Ohio. Harriett was born in Ohio so this is possible. Their first child George was born in Indiana. I find it odd that they are residing in Clinton County, Indiana in 1850 but got married in Clinton County, Ohio.

      Obituary:
      Daniel L Rash died at 8 o'clock last night at the home of his daughter, Mrs William A Roberts, at the county farm. The infirmities of age was the cause of his demise. Deceased was born in Delaware on November 30, 1814, and came to Lafayette in 1836. For a number of years he was associated with the late William Shively in the tailoring business. After retiring from that business Mr Rash moved to Jefferson, Clinton county, where he lived for some time. He has made his home with Mr and Mrs Roberts for the past twenty years. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity, affiliating with the lodge at Linden. The following children survive: Mrs Emily Pixley, Warren E Rash and H. S Rash, of Linden: Perry Rash, a member of the National Soldiers' Home at Danville, Illinois; Ryan Rash, of Fithian, Illinois; M S Rash, of Los Angeles, California and Mrs W A Roberts and Miss Olive Rash, of this county. The funeral will be conducted to-morrow morning and the interment will be in the Abbott cemetery near Clark's Hill. (Lafayette Daily Courier,Thursday May 26, 1904)
