    Mrs. Martin Christie died Saturday evening after a long illness, aged 58 years, 4 months and 24 days. She was the daughter of James and Mary Tharp, was born May 21, 1853. She was married to William Lawler Feb. 24, 1873 and to them were born two sons, Edgar and Willis. She was married to Martin Christie, October 18, 1885. She was a consistent member of the Regular Baptist church. She was a good woman, giving an example of kindly charity and perfect trust. Three sisters, three brothers, two sons, a husband and step-daughter survive. The funeral was Monday at the Baptist church, conducted by Elder Watkins and Elder Thomas, after which the body was laid to rest at North Salem.
