    (Research):Although the 1900 Census states that Thomas's mother was born in Tennessee, I believe this is a mistake on who told the census taker or on the Census takers part because in every census 1870-1930 it states that she was born in Illinois. The only one from 1870-1930 that states Tennessee is the 1900 Census. The 1870 census even says Illinois, so that is what I am going with since she is probably the one that told them where she was born in 1870.
